Merre B’s is vastly over-rated. Couldn’t locate the ‘luxury’ so frequently referred to in the literature; breakfasts were just adequate; holes in carpets with tatty rugs to cover them up; facilities to hang up clothing were pathetic; curtains didn’t block out light; damned expensive! It’s a big hotel for us next time, which is sad as we would rather have a more personally involving experience – but not at the cost of slumming it.
